If we dont make the difference now, 100 years of now we dont have anymore insects, fresh clean water, breathable air nor place to inhabit the global population. By managing the waste, taking care of the ever growing mountains of toxic and nature destroying landfills and giving the people around these areas meaningful work, children schooling and protection BlueSkye Foundation makes possible for people to stay on their own areas and diminishing the refugee flow.

Around the world, millions faced other natural disasters caused of the waste, including poisonous or carcinogenic drinking waters, over heated polluted air and nature full of trash, waste and plastic. We have added photos of these events from across the globe, the urgency of the change is NOW:

“The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation has estimated that around 60 million metric tons of MSW (Municipal solid waste) is generated each year, amounting to more than 400 kg per capita. The volume of MSW in Russia has been steadily increasing in recent years. On the volume of waste the problem arises from the ability or inability of governments, individuals and waste disposal firms to keep up with the task of managing waste and protecting the environment. There is no doubt that a dirty environment affects the standard of living, aesthetic sensibilities, and health of people, and thus has an impact on the quality of their lives. As a consequence, improper disposal or storage of waste can cause hazards to the society through the pollution of air, land and, especially, water”.

“Pakistan generates about 48 million tons of solid waste a year, which has been increasing more than 2 percent annually. Like other developing countries, Pakistan lacks waste management infrastructure, creating serious environmental problems. Most municipal waste is either burned, dumped or buried on vacant lots, threatening the health and welfare of the general population. The Government of Pakistan (GOP) estimates that 77,000 tons of solid waste is generated per day, mostly from major metropolitan areas. Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, generates more than 13,000 tons of municipal waste daily. All major cities face enormous challenges on how to manage urban waste”.

“African cities face huge problems with collecting waste in the near future with Nairobi currently only collecting around 50 percent of all household rubbish, according to a new World Bank report. Sub-Saharan Africa set to become the fastest area for waste growth in the world over the next 40 years, the problem needs urgent resolution. At present more than half of waste is currently openly dumped, while in Europe, Central Asia and North America, around 90 percent of waste is collected. Sub-Saharan Africa generated 174 million tonnes of waste in 2016, at a rate of 0.46 kilogram per capita per day. It is the fastest growing region worldwide, with waste expected to nearly triple by 2050. About 69 percent of waste is openly dumped, although use of landfills and recycling systems is becoming more prevalent. The World Bank says the issue of waste collection in Africa is critical as more than half of the world’s population growth is anticipated to occur in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2050. With waste generation expected to more than quadruple by 2050, it is alarming that waste is predominantly openly dumped”.

“It’s just one sliver of the massive pollution problem in Asia. China, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam are dumping more plastic into oceans than the rest of the world combined, according to a 2017 report by Ocean Conservancy. This isn’t just an Asia problem. Plastic is one of the greatest environmental challenges facing the world. The U.S. wasted about 33.6 million tons of plastic, and only 9.5% was recycled.
For example the Indonesia’s Citarum River, blackened by debris beyond recognition, has been dubbed the most polluted river in the world. The situation has gotten so bad that the army was recently called in to remove the plastic waste — and prevent further dumping in the waterway”
